Let me start the article by answering this “simple” question. “What is interior design?”. Interior design is the process of visualizing or “designing” the appearance of a room or other interior space. The practice draws up many technical, analytical and creative skills.During the Interior design process, many things are taken into account from colour, arrangement and theming all coming together to make the final product. Theming often follows period styles such as; Turbo Fire minimalist, gothic, Victorian, Islamic, Feng Sui, country, tropical, western, modern, and is the way of describing the overall look you are trying to achieve in your interior. You will recognise certain themes as you read through magazines or visit show homes and you will naturally gravitate Bank Rates towards those styles which best suit your personality, just as you gravitate towards clothes which take your fancy. Let’s take a look at some of these themes in a little more detail.Minimalist interior design, as the name suggests, uses very little clutter to create the final look. Walls are generally painted a uniform colour and Insanity Workout are not adorned with pictures and ornaments. Simple lighting is mounted into the ceilings so there are no fancy chandeliers or other light fittings to grab your attention. Rooms with the minimalist theming, however can sometimes feel very cold, uncomfortable and impersonal to a widely discussed theme, Online Coupon Codes Tropical theming uses greens and earthy earthy tones along with lighter colours such as whites and creams. download beat makerWhites are ideal if you live in warmer climes as you will be able to afford the coolness that white gives off, but for those of you who have to put up with the long London winter should go for creams to bring a bit of warmth to the room. Plants are a must have for a tropical theme, lush green palm trees being the ultimate accessory. When you think of Africa, no doubt earthy tones come into you head browns, beiges, yellows and oranges. If you are looking to create an African feel in your interior you want to bear this in mind. African themes are all about natural colours.everett house painters Think clean cream walls, dark brown hardwood floor, dark beige couches with big puffy orange cushions, the sunset coming in through thin beige curtains. Remember to think beige! There Radical Russ are hundreds of different interior design themes out there so go out to some show houses and have a look in some of the many magazines on offer to get an idea of how you would like your room to look and get in there and get your hands wet.If you are looking for an interior designer in London, I can highly recommend Celia James. She redecorated my living room last month and partner and I could not be happier with the result petmeds coupons.

Canadian born David Dixon, enjoys tremendous media acclaim, standing out among his Canadian contemporaries as one of the leaders in fashion design.

In 1995, after an apprenticeship with the world-famous Canadian designer Alfred Sung, Dixon established his own label. He started out at the Toronto Fashion Incubator, a highly respected training ground for up-and-coming new designers, and began manufacturing and wholesaling his own line in 1996. Dixon left the Incubator to launch his own Toronto-based design and production studio, but he remains affiliated with the TFI and sits on its Board as the President.

Today, David Dixon’s designs are sold across Canada and in the United States, Kuwait, the United Arab Emirates, Switzerland, Germany, Tokyo and Hong Kong. Dixon possesses a modernist openness towards emerging design while rejecting the notion of radical change from one fashion trend to another. His innovative designs have won him a following among the elite communities of film and fashion, including: Meg Ryan, Noot Seear, Jeanne Beker, Wendy Crewson, Daria Werbowy, Ashley MacIsaac, Jennifer Love Hewitt, Paul Gross, Catherine O’Hara, Kristin Booth, Ivana Santilli and Katie Holmes.

More recently, Dixon has expanded his successful signature collection, and has partnered with several National and International brands to further the David Dixon label. Collaborations with the highly successful Town Shoes Chain have resulted in a nationally recognized David Dixon shoe line, while partnerships with The Shopping Channel and Mattel International have brought Dixon into other new and exciting arenas.

In 2008, Dixon secured the exclusive licensing rights for Barbie by David Dixon, a ready to wear collection for real women, to be sold across Canada exclusively through The Bay Department Stores. This collaboration with the International Brand Mattel and The Bay is the first of its kind in Canada. Of more recent in 2011, “David Dixon, LITTLE BLACK DRESS,” has been officially launched across Canada through The Bay.

Over the past two years Dixon, known for his attention to detail, integrity of the design process and over all high quality control expectations throughout all divisions of his brand, has expanded his companies marketing and sales strategies and now designs and sells several collections exclusively for the highly popular The Shopping Channel. This has reinforced Dixon’s belief that fashion is not just for the few, but also rather for everyone.

The ever-growing presence of the David Dixon brand will continue to develop in the years to come. Currently the David Dixon Signature Collection can be found at The Bay, Holt Renfrew, Simons, and specialty boutiques across Canada.

World MasterCard Fashion Week or WMCFW, formerly known as LG Fashion Week is an event held in Toronto, Canada in March (for fall/winter collections) and in October (for spring/summer collections). It is the biggest fashion week held in Canada and it is the second largest fashion week in North America after New York.

The Closing Night Gala of World MasterCard Fashion Week celebrates the fashion design community’s talents and commitment to social justice.

Dare To Wear Love is a high energy, massively entertaining show featuring gorgeous one of a kind fashions by Canadian designers, celebrity models, musicians and dancers.

Presented by Hoax Couture, BMO Financial Group and the FDCC, the event raises funds and awareness for the Stephen Lewis Foundation: Using The Power of Fashion for Good.

THE STEPHEN LEWIS FOUNDATION puts money directly into the hands of grassroots organizations in Africa that are turning the tide on the AIDS pandemic in ways that are innovative, sophisticated and impactful.

DARE TO WEAR LOVE is the creation of Hoax Couture designers and founders, Chris Tyrell and Jim Searle. Inspired by the resilience of African grandmothers raising children orphaned by AIDS, Jim and Chris invited twenty-five of Canada’s top fashion designers to take part in Dare To Wear Love by showcasing an outfit made with 6 yards of African fabric.
